The Democratic Space Station is here, and players… don’t care for it.
Many players on the Helldivers subreddit are frustrated with how often the DSS’ Planetary Bombardment Environmental Condition Tactical Action leads to team deaths. The community has responded with some hilarious memes about the chaos, and while Arrowhead hasn’t made an official statement yet, they’ve introduced temporary buffs to loadout and life count to help players complete missions.

Helldivers 2 faced a similar issue with the Meteor Storms Environmental Condition until a visual indicator was added to warn players of incoming strikes. If Arrowhead implements a target marker for the 380mm shells, it could give players a fighting chance to escape. Unfortunately, unlike the meteors, these shells descend so quickly that by the time you realize where they’re headed, it’s already too late. For now, we’ll just have to embrace the chaos—and the memes that come with it.
