A little over a week and a half ago, Arrowhead announced they had successfully fixed the game-breaking bug that caused Galactic War liberation rates to skyrocket, allowing divers to reclaim entire planets in record time. However, it now appears yet another bug has surfaced.

Divers are now reporting that Helldivers 2’s servers are completely frozen, leaving them unable to even log in and play. Unlike the previous issue—where skyrocketing liberation rates let Helldivers reclaim planets at breakneck speeds—this time, the problem is far more severe. The game is effectively unplayable

As of now, Arrowhead has yet to provide a detailed explanation. The only official word comes from a brief message posted early Sunday morning in the Helldivers 2 Discord announcements channel, acknowledging the issue but offering no timeline for resolution.

“We are aware of a backend error affecting Galactic War contribution. We are investigating! We will inform players here as soon as we have more info available on the situation! Thank you for your patience.”

– Baskinator, a Community Manager at Arrowhead via the official Helldivers 2 Discord.

With no clear communication from the developers, divers are left wondering whether this is a temporary outage or a more serious backend issue that could take days to resolve.

For now, Super Earth’s finest are on forced leave, waiting for Arrowhead to bring them back into the fight.
