Ship Modules are the primary upgrade system in Helldivers 2. While Warbonds unlock new weapons, armors, utilities, and boosters, Ship Modules provide passive upgrades that enhance your Stratagems in various ways.
How to access your Ship Modules
Ship Modules are accessed through Ship Management. These consoles are located just before the Bridge, off to the side and directly below the giant TV.


What types of Ship Modules are there?
Ship Modules are broken down into six categories:
- Patriotic Administration Center
- Orbital Cannons
- Hangar
- Bridge
- Engineering Bay
- Robotics Workshop
Each Module must be unlocked sequentially, with each upgrade becoming progressively more expensive. Requisition Slips are just one of the currencies needed to unlock Ship Modules; you’ll also need Samples. There are three types of samples in the game: green (Commons), orange (Rares), and pink (Super Rares).
Each mission contains a maximum number of each type of sample, and as the difficulty increases, so does the maximum number of samples. Super Rare samples are only available on the higher difficulties.
Helldivers 2 Currencies and Resources
Requisition Slips can be acquired by completing the main objective in a mission.
Clearing nests or outposts, accomplishing side objectives, and successfully extracting with all four Helldivers all contribute to the amount of slips you will receive.
Additionally, playing on higher difficulties increases the total Requisition Slips awarded through a percentage-based multiplier, which can reach up to 250% for Helldive missions.
Commons can be found in almost every mission type except for Evacuate High-Value Assets missions.
Commons are available at every difficulty level. The maximum number of Commons in a mission ranges from approximately 10 to 45.
Rares are only found in missions with a difficulty of Challenging (4) and above. The maximum number of Rares in a mission ranges from 12 to 40.
Super Rares are exclusively found in missions with an Extreme (6) difficulty level or higher. The maximum number of Super Rares in a mission typically ranges from 3 to 6.

Patriotic Administration Center Ship Modules reduce cooldown times for Support Weapons, increase their initial ammo supply, and boost the amount of ammo received from resupplies and ammo boxes.

Orbital Cannons Ship Modules enhance your orbital Stratagems by reducing cooldowns, increasing the number of salvo(s) they fire per barrage, and expanding the damage falloff from the center of each explosion.

Hangar Ship Modules rank among the top upgrades in the game. They offer substantial benefits such as reducing Eagle cooldowns by 50%, increasing the number of bombs per payload, decreasing rearming times, and increasing bomb carrying capacity.

Bridge Ship Modules offer a wide range of benefits, such as improved steering for the Hellpod when (re)deploying, expanded radar ping radius, reduced calldown times for Orbital Stratagems, and increased fire damage for all Stratagems.
