Team Comp Overview

Shadow Isles is a strategy that should be played only with a strong early game board that includes a 2* Viego. Shadow Isles units gain additional stats based on the amount of ally and enemy champions that die in player combats. So plan to build items early, push levels, and play your strongest board with any upgraded units you find throughout the game.

Early Game Overview

Unlockable Units

-Yorick: Field a 2* Viego with 2 items equipped

The early game board for Shadow Isles is extremely flexible. The two core units are Viego and Yorick paired with any Quickstriker and Warden units. Souls are dropped by any champ death, so your items can be held by any upgraded unit you think will kill the most units. Ideally, prioritize melee fighter items that will eventually be Thresh’s items as melee units in the early game are typically stronger than ranged units.

Mid Game Overview

Unlockable Units:

–Gwen: Collect 20 Shadow Isles souls

In the mid game, continue your win streak by playing upgraded units and slamming items.

During stage 3 carousel round, begin to prioritize AD items for Kalista as she will be your main carry during stage 4.

The mid game board is flexible, play the 3 core Shadow Isles units with other supporting units that share traits with them. Additionally, look to transfer the AP fighter items onto Gwen as she’s a stronger item holder than Viego.

Late Game Overview

Unlockable Units:

–Kalista: Collect 70 Shadow Isles Souls
–Thresh: Collect 175 Shadow Isles Souls
–Mel: 2* Ambessa with an item dies in combat

At Level 8 you will most likely not have Thresh unlocked yet so your Level 8 board is flexible. Play the core 4 Shadow Isles units + supporting units and most importantly do not forget to buy 2* Ambessa during your Level 8 roll down as she’s needed to unlock Mel.
Transfer your AD items onto Kalista and transfer fighter items onto either Gwen or Ambessa depending on who is upgraded.

After stabilizing, rebuild your economy and go to Level 9 on stage 5 for higher odds of finding 5 cost champions to cap out your board.
The final capped out board is also flexible. Play any upgraded 5 cost units by dropping Viego, Yorick, and Ambessa (after unlocking Mel)
