Core Warbonds

Unfortunately, only a handful of Warbonds are really worth the money, the rest fall under preference or mostly for fun. We’ve put each Warbond through extensive testing, and the truth is that most of them only have 1 or 2 standout items, with the rest usually being fluff.

These are our Core Warbond recommendations: the top-tier Warbonds that are absolutely worth the purchase.


Democratic Detonation

Easily the best Premium Warbond in the game, the most bang for your buck.

Weapons

  • R-36 Eruptor
  • CB-9 Exploding Crossbow
  • BR-14 Adjudicator

The Eruptor and Crossbow are incredibly powerful explosive weapons and are some of the best anti-Illuminate and anti-Automaton weapons in the game.

It also comes with the GP-31 Grenade Pistol which can be used to close bug holes and destroy fabricators.

Secondaries, Throwables, Boosters

  • G-123 Thermite Grenade, which obliterates heavily armored enemies.
  • Expert Extraction Pilot Booster cuts extraction time by 30%, very useful on Blitz missions or when sample farming.

Armors

The three armor sets aren’t extraordinary, but are nice to have if you’re a FashionDiver.

  • – Light Armor with Engineering Kit passive
  • – Medium Armor with Engineering Kit passive
  • – Heavy Armor with Fortified passive

The Engineering Kit passive increases total grenade capacity by 2.

The Fortified passive decreases explosive damage taken by 50% and gives 30% recoil reduction while crouched/prone.


Urban Legends

One of the newer warbonds added to the game, so if you’re a returning player you may have missed this one.

Weapons

  • No Primary Weapons

Secondaries, Throwables, Boosters

  • CQC-19 Stun Lance (A melee weapon capable of stunlocking enemies)
  • Armed Resupply Pods Booster which places an AR-23 atop every resupply, which acts like a mini-sentry.

Armors

Two armor sets, a light and a heavy set. Both come with the Siege-Ready passive.

Siege-Ready increases reload speed of primary weapons by 30% and increases total reserve ammo capacity of ALL weapons that do not use backpacks by 20%.

Stratagems

  • – Anti-Tank Emplacement
  • – Flame Sentry
  • – Directional Shield (Backpack)

It features some of the best defensive stratagems in the game, the Anti-Tank Emplacement and Flame Sentry. These stratagems are an absolute must on defense missions. The AT Emplacement is capable of shredding heavily armored targets in just a few shots, and the Flame Sentry (after having received a major buff to its fire resistance) which can burn down the crowds of fodder, allowing you to focus on taking out bigger more threatening targets.

The directional shield while fun to use paired with a melee weapon, it’s mostly a gimmick item.


Freedom’s Flame

Weapons

  • – SG-451 Cookout
  • – FLAM-66 Torcher

The Cookout is a pump-shotgun with an incredible amount of knockback, good damage, and amazing ammo economy. It’s one of the best shotguns in the game, and the best flame-based weapon in the game.

The FLAM-66 Torcher is a smaller version of the flamethrower stratagem, except now instead of occupying a stratagem slot it’s a primary weapon. While it doesn’t do as much damage as the bigger version, the flame damage over time remains the same.

Secondaries, Throwables, Boosters

  • P-72 Crisper, strong and fun-to-use flamethrower pistol.
  • Firebomb Hellpods booster, which causes all called-in pods to explode on impact, igniting the area.

Armors

Two armor sets, a light and a heavy set. Both come with the Inflammable passive.

Inflammable reduces damage taken from fire by 75%. Very useful when using flame weapons or on planets with Fire Tornadoes.


Polar Patriots

A strong Core Warbond to pick up. It features one of the best primary weapons in the game.

Weapons

  • PLAS-101 Purifier
  • AR-61 Tenderizer
  • SMG-72 Pummeler

Secondaries, Throwables, Boosters

  • G-13 Incendiary Impact Grenade
  • P-113 Verdict, a very strong medium-pen pistol.
  • Motivational Shocks Booster which reduces time affected by stuns and slows such as from acid.

Armors

Armor passives are just ok, again though, nice to have if you’re a FashionDiver.

  • – Light Armor with Scout passive
  • – Heavy Armor with Servo-Assisted passive
  • – Heavy Armor with Fortified passive

The Scout passive reduces range at which enemies can detect the wearer by 30%. Markers placed on the mini map generate radar scans revealing enemies in the area.

The Servo-Assisted passive increases limb health by 50% and increases throwing range by 30%.
