Helldivers 2 tier list for the best throwables and grenades to use against the Illuminate, Terminids, and Automatons for both solo and group play.
Throwables in Helldivers 2 offer valuable utility and destructive firepower to cover the gaps your Primary, Secondary, and Support Weapons might leave.
In the tutorial, we learn to use grenades to take out Bug Holes, but Throwables can be used for much more than just destroying spawners. Thermite grenades can shred heavily armored enemies, making them an extremely popular choice, while utility grenades like the G-23 Stun can stop an incoming Charger or Hulk in their tracks, allowing for easy follow-up shots.

*Listed Damage vs Actual Damage
In-game listed damage is often much lower than the actual damage a throwable can deal. For example, Thermite grenades do over 3000 actual damage. The actual damage is much higher because the DOT isn’t accounted for in the listed damage value. Several grenades work like this, such as the Pyrotech grenade and the Incendiary and Gas grenades. Some grenades have shrapnel, which greatly boosts their actual damage, but this is never shown in the in-game listed value.
Demolition Force
Bug Holes, Bot Fabricators, and Grounded Warp Ships can be destroyed from the inside using Throwables with a Demolition Force of at least 20
Bug Holes and Bot Fabricators can be destroyed from the outside using Throwables with a Demolition Force of at least 40.
Bile Titan Bug Holes can only be destroyed using Throwables with a Demolition Force of at least 40.
