The all-new “Freedom’s Flame” Warbond is scheduled to drop August 8th, just two days after what Arrowhead is calling its biggest update yet.
Excitingly, we’re finally getting a flamethrower primary! Now, you can toast up some Terminids to a crisp without sacrificing your Support Weapon slot.
This update includes two new primary weapons, a sleek flamethrower pistol, fire-resistant armors, and a booster that transforms your Hellpods into firebombs.
New Weapons
SG-451 Cookout
While we already have the amazing Incendiary Breaker from the Steeled Veterans Warbond, the SG-451 Cookout appears to be an incendiary version of the Punisher, meaning Pump Action! Compared to the Breaker, we’re expecting the Cookout to have better ammo conservation, more knockback to keep those brutal new Brood Commander Alphas at bay, and of course, a CHK-CHK after every shot.
FLAM-66 Torcher
A mid-sized flamethrower, and it fits in your Primary Weapon slot instead of taking up your Support Weapon slot. Can’t complain about that! Fire Damage is Fire Damage!
P-72 Crisper
The latest addition to the already interesting pistol lineup is a flamethrower! While its practicality remains to be seen, we’re eager to put this new secondary to the test!
New Armors, Boosters, and more!
The two new armors are the I-09 Heatseeker and the I-102 Draconaught. Both of these armors come with a new passive, “Inflammable”. Inflammable provides 75% damage resistance to fire.
Boosters, Emotes, and more!
We’re also getting some new capes, player cards, a new “Fire Safety Officer” title, and new emotes! You’ll recognize one of the new emotes from the cinematic!
The Viper Commandos Warbond initially introduced vehicle customization, and now, the Freedom’s Flame Warbond expands our options with a new shiny coat of orange paint for each vehicle.
We are very excited to try out the weapons and armor from the new Warbond, and we’re even more eager to see what the Escalation of Freedom update has in store for us when it releases on the 6th.
