The community was tasked with using each machine gun to eliminate 50 million Terminids, with the first gun to achieve the goal being declared the most “optimally configured for the bug front,” while the remaining weapons face potential re-evaluation.

After several battles in multiple systems, The Democracy Space Station has now proven itself a tool for galactic liberation with undeniably nonzero utility. While system recalibrations continue, the Helldivers can count on the support from their new super weapon to take out everything in its path between now and full Freedom. But standard weapons also require constant re-evaluation, which is why the Ministry of Defense is asking the Helldivers to conduct a machine gun weapons efficacy review. The Helldivers may choose between:
– The M-105 Stalwart
– The MG-43 Machine Gun
– The MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun
The first machine gun to reach its designated kill count will be considered most optimally configured for the bug front. Get to killing Helldivers!
The results are in, and the MG-43 has been declared the winner!

Following their promised free lunch hour, MG-43 assembly workers will be granted automatically-approved overtime in order to create a surplus of this Helldiver-chosen weapon.
All Helldiver arsenals will be temporarily augmented with the MG-43.
The selection of a single machine gun does not diminish the quality and value of the other machine guns in the Helldiver arsenal. All machine guns have their unique, treasured role in the defense of Freedom.”
