The Illuminate have launched a full-scale invasion, arriving with a massive fleet that shattered our defenses. After breaking through the defensive line in Widow’s Harbor and scorching Mars, they wasted no time descending onto Super Earth itself.
This latest phase of the Heart of Democracy storyline has been nothing short of thrilling. It delivers some of the most intense and dynamic gameplay Helldivers 2 has offered so far.
At the start of the invasion, there were seven mega-cities standing tall on Super Earth. Now, the first has fallen. Eagleopolis is gone.
That leaves just six cities left to defend, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The current Major Order is progressing well, and with the weekend fast approaching, we’re expecting an even bigger push from the playerbase.

Mid-week, Helldivers 2 saw over 160,000 concurrent players on Super Earth. If we crack 200,000 this weekend, it will be a true test of the servers, but we’ll be able to easily push the Illuminate back!
