This is a powerhouse build designed to take on the toughest challenges the Illuminate have to offer. At its core is the Purifier primary weapon and Grenade Pistol secondary, delivering devastating firepower against tightly packed Voteless and Overseers. Paired with Incendiary Impact Grenades and the MG-43 Sentry, it excels at crowd control, allowing you to mow down the relentless swarms of Voteless.

The Commando, a versatile jack-of-all-trades Support Weapon, effortlessly handles Warp Ships, Harvesters, and Arc Towers, especially when paired with the Eagle Strafing Run, which allows you to easily expose them by destroying their shields. Grounded Warp Ships are a breeze with the Orbital Precision Strike, which can be used to destroy encampments, or even breach the settlement walls for quick escapes or FRV access.

PLAS-101 Purifier

Once dismissed as a liability (and one of the worst weapons in the game), the Purifier has earned its place among Helldiver arsenals. Utilize its charge attack to take out clusters of grouped Voteless.

Two fully charged shots will kill an Overseer, even through their Shields.

Core Stratagems

Cost: 8,000, Unlocked at Level 15.

Equipped with four rockets, the Commando is a powerful laser-guided anti-tank rocket launcher that can easily destroy many of the Automaton’s armored units and buildings.

A single rocket can down a Gunship by aiming at a thruster, making it one of the more effective Support Weapons for engaging them. Dropships, on the other hand, require two shots to any one of their thrusters.

Hulks can be taken down with a single, careful shot to their eye.

Automaton Tanks can Cannon Turrets can be eliminated with 2-3 hits to the side or vents. However, a tank will require all 4 shots if you’re shooting the heavily armored frontside.

Unlike the Recoilless Rifle, it doesn’t require a backpack, offering more flexibility.

Eagle Strafing Run

Cost: 1,500, Unlocked at Level 1.

The Eagle Strafing Run shines at clearing out tightly packed enemies, particularly Voteless and Overseers, where their formations in city streets make them easy targets. While it’s less effective as an anti-infantry tool against bugs and bots in the open fields, it truly excels at destroying structures like Automaton Fabricators, AA & Mortar Emplacements, and Illegal Broadcast Towers.

Against the Illuminate, this Stratagem is indispensable for bringing down shields and exposing Harvesters or Grounded Warp Ships, making them vulnerable to follow-up attacks with explosive weapons or other Stratagems.

Orbital Precision Strike

Cost: Free, Unlocked at Level 1.

Despite being the first Stratagem you unlock, the Orbital Precision Strike is incredibly powerful.

With a 90-second cooldown and a 2-second call-in time, the Precision Strike is available for most engagements with Automaton heavies such as Hulks and Tanks, allowing you to save your Commando rockets.

Anything directly hit by the Orbital Precision Strike will be either instantly destroyed or severely damaged in the case of the Factory Strider.

A/MG-43 Machine Gun Sentry

Cost: 1,500, Unlocked at Level 1.

The Machine Gun Sentry has a slower rate of fire compared to its Gatling Sentry counterpart but compensates with medium-armor penetrating rounds, higher damage-per-shot and superior ammo efficiency.

Deploying Sentries when securing objectives or deploying them to provide covering fire during an escape are just a few ways they can be invaluable during a mission.
