Strategically place a few Sentries and enjoy the show!

Watching Sentries shred through swarms of bugs is extremely satisfying. Not only are they fun to use, but Sentries are also invaluable for holding defensive positions at objectives or during extraction. This build offers a selection of Sentries and a complementary loadout to help you maximize their effectiveness.

Recommended Weapons

AR-61 Tenderizer

The AR-61 Tenderizer was released with the Polar Patriots Warbond and costs 20 medals.

It is the second highest-DPS assault rifle in the game, ranked below the AR-23A Liberator Carbine, though the Tenderizer has much better recoil control, accuracy, and deals much more damage per shot.

The Tenderizer features a 100mm zoom Scope which allows it to excel in mid-range engagements with bots. It is very capable of landing accurate headshots on Devastators, and its increased stagger force makes it an excellent choice versus Berserkers and Brood Commanders.

Core Stratagems

Expendable Anti-Tank
Gatling Sentry
EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank

Cost:  3,000, Unlocked at Level 3.

Calls down two disposable rocket launchers that are capable of killing Chargers, Bile Titans, and Hulks with an accurate headshot. One major advantage is that it does not require an ammunition backpack, allowing you to still wear a Shield, Jump, or Supply pack.

While it does less damage than other anti-tank weapons, you can quickly fire the first launcher and pick up and fire the second launcher without the need for reloading.

Its low cooldown time allows you to call down an additional two launchers every minute. We recommend calling down 2-4 launchers before starting an objective, allowing you to quickly cycle through them as threats arrive.

A/G-16 Gatling Sentry

Cost: 4,000, Unlocked at Level 5.

The Gatling Sentry has a much higher rate of fire compared to its Machine Gun Sentry counterpart. It fires 1560 RPM with a capacity of 390 rounds, making it one of the less ammo-efficient sentries.

Deploying Sentries when securing objectives or deploying them to provide covering fire during an escape are just a few ways they can be invaluable during a mission.

Recommended Stratagems

Autocannon Sentry
EMS Mortar Sentry
A/AC-8 Autocannon Sentry

Cost: 6,000, Unlocked at Level 13.

The Autocannon Sentry is one of the strongest Sentries in game, capable of taking down Chargers, Bile Titans, Hulks, and Impalers.

Deploying Sentries when securing objectives or deploying them to provide covering fire during an escape are just a few ways they can be invaluable during a mission.

A/M-23 EMS Mortar Sentry

Cost: 8,000, Unlocked at Level 20.

The EMS Mortar is a tactical sentry. It fires shells that explode and leave a residual EMS field that slows bugs and disables bots. It is a fantastic choice for any defense mission, and especially great when paired with other sentries.

However, we do not recommend the Mortar Sentry against Terminids. Since most bugs are melee units, they will often direct the mortar fire straight back to your team.
