Beginner Leveling Automaton Build: An introduction to Democracy
Congratulations on making it through your Helldiver training, Super Earth is glad to have you! This well-balanced loadout covers all the bases when it comes to Automatons and is great for leveling up. The SG-225 Breaker is a high damage output shotgun and great choice against light enemies, but can still take out medium bots with well placed shots to the weak points. Be sure to make use of the P-19 Redeemer as the Breaker is full auto and can run out of ammo quickly if you’re not careful.
Core Stratagems
Autocannon
- Pro Tip: 10 round magazine reloaded in 2, 5-round clips. Reloading both clips takes a little over 5 seconds but one clip takes 2, so never let the Autocannon get completely empty and save yourself the reload time if you are in a pinch
- Ammo boxes resupply 2 clups and a resupply box adds 5
- Effective against the weak areas of all Automatons
- Devastators die in 1 headshot
- Scout Striders die in one shot anywhere
- Hulks die in 2 headshots
- Fabricators can be taken out if shot into the vents or into the front door if it is open
Eagle Airstrike
- Extremely effective against larger and more heavily armored enemies such as Hulks and Tanks
- Great against clearing bot drops or patrols
- Able to destroy Bot Fabricators
Recommended Stratagems
Eagle Cluster Bomb
- Effective against small and medium targets
- Low chance to destroy Bug Holes
Orbital Gas Strike
- Pro Tip: If you are being chased, throw it down at your feet and continue running away and it should take care of most of your immediate problems
- Very low cooldown rate compared to other stratagems and is a great tool for taking out Fabricators from a distance if thrown near the front door
- Great to use for bot drops and will clear out most smaller enemies
Mortar Sentry
- Effective at long distances so be sure to place it in a place where it is difficult for enemies to reach
- Indirect targeting means that this sentry can be placed behind protective structures
- Warning: This Stratagem is one of the most notorious team killers, user discretion is advised
