Helldive and Super Helldive difficulty require the strategic use of cooldowns for essential Stratagems, making it crucial to utilize every piece of your loadout. While most players rely on Eagles, Orbitals, and ammo-hogging Primary weapons, you’ve opted for the Support role.
Equipping the LAS-16 Sickle and the Quasar Cannon removes your impact on ammo supplies. Pairing these with the B-1 Supply Pack ensures your ammo-hungry teammates stay stocked between resupply drops.
Though with the Automatons on Helldive Difficulty, it may be worth taking the Punisher Plasma or Counter Sniper because of their incredible firepower.
For heavy support, the Orbital Laser and EMS Mortar Sentry excel at helping to secure objectives and aiding in extractions. Adding extra stims with the Med-Kit passive boosts survivability, while the Experimental Infusion enhances team support by granting allies movement speed and damage reduction whenever a stim is used.
Recommended Weapons
The Punisher Plasma released with the Cutting Edge Warbond, it is one of the most effective anti-bot weapons out there, and our personal favorite choice for dealing with Striders and Devastators.
The Punisher Plasma fires an arced shot of plasma that explodes on impact. This explosive can stun lock Devastators as well as go around the heavy front plate armor of Striders, killing the rider.
The Counter Sniper is the second Marksman Rifle you can unlock, costing 40 medals. It is available on the seveth page of the Helldivers Mobilize Free Warbond.
The high-powered “Counter Sniper” variant fires medium-armor penetrating rounds, capable of killing Devastators with a single headshot. You can also shoot the knee joints of Striders to dismount them.
This is the perfect primary weapon for dispatching Heavy Devastators, as its long zoom and steady scope allow you to get easy headshots past their shield.
The LAS-16 Sickle was released with the Cutting Edge Warbond; it is an energy-based assault rifle with infinite ammo, and almost no recoil.
The Sickle is one of the more resupply/ammo-efficient weapons in the game. It theoretically has infinite ammo, but if you overheat the gun, you will need to swap out your heatsink or “magazine.”
It has around a 0.5s wind-up time before it begins firing. You have around 80 shots of continuous fire before it overheats. It takes around 11 seconds to cool down after almost overheating.
Core Stratagems
Cost: 7,500, Unlocked at Level 18.
The Quasar Cannon is an energy-based alternative to the Recoilless Rifle, comparable in power to the Expendable Anti-Tank. It consistently delivers one-hit kills on headshots for most enemies, including Bile Titans and Chargers.
One major advantage is that it does not require an ammunition backpack, allowing you to still wear a Shield, Jump, or Supply pack.
Although it deals less damage than other anti-tank options, its lack of ammo dependency makes it perfect for support roles or when playing with randoms who tend to deplete resupply packs quickly.
Cost: 4,000, Unlocked at Level 1.
The Supply Pack deploys with four resupply boxes, functioning like the Resupply Stratagem but without benefiting from the Superior Packing Methodology upgrade. You can resupply teammates by pressing the interact button (PC: E, PlayStation: X) or use it on yourself (PC: 5, PlayStation: D-Pad Down).
It’s essentially a portable Resupply that you can carry around. However, it can only be refilled by using a box from the Resupply Stratagem—other ammo or supply crates in the mission won’t replenish it. Refilling the pack also restores the wearer’s own supplies.
Recommended Stratagems
Cost: 10,000, Unlocked at Level 15.
The Orbital Laser is an incredibly powerful stratagem, though you’re only allowed 3 uses per game, and it is on a significant cooldown.
It will effortlessly slice through a field of enemies. It’s a “Throw and forget” kind of stratagem, as the targeting is handled automatically as the laser travels enemy-to-enemy. It’s capable of taking out bug holes and fabricators, as well as heavies such as the Titan, Hulk and Impaler.
Cost: 8,000, Unlocked at Level 20.
The EMS Mortar is a tactical sentry. It fires shells that explode and leave a residual EMS field that slows bugs and disables bots. It is a fantastic choice for any defense mission, and especially great when paired with other sentries.
However, we do not recommend the Mortar Sentry against Terminids. Since most bugs are melee units, they will often direct the mortar fire straight back to your team.
